Kitchen herb kit

I'm wondering if anyone has tried one of these expensive herb growers. Is it worth the money?

I love to cook with fresh herbs and tired of spending endless amounts of money on fresh herbs during the winter.

At that price I think it would be cheaper to accomplish the same thing, and better quality, if you buy the parts separately.

A quick search for plant lights on Amazon gave this:
